Tough Plants from a Cool Climate

Barwinnock is a small stone built cottage in the remote and windswept South West Scotland moorland. All except the most frost sensitive varieties are grown on outside in our cool Scottish climate. We make up our own organic compost and use no chemical fertilisers or pesticides. This way, plants achieve a well developed root system and become more capable of resisting the effects of weather and insect attack. Once planted out, they soon become established and quickly develop to their full glory. Your herbs will have been hardened off and established in 3" pots as this ensures they will transplant most readily.
