Back to visiting Barwinnock Herbs
Barwinnock
is a small stone built cottage in the Southern Uplands of South
West Scotland.
To find us you will travel through forests and moors, beside
lochs and rough pasture. Enjoy the journey- there are many places
to stop for a picknick.
If you have not got a map, you could print the sketch
map- specially drawn by Mon.
From the north i.e. from Glasgow and
Ayr, take the A77 south to Girvan
At a roundabout south of Girvan take the A714 to Barrhill.
In Barrhill look for the B7027, a turning to the right with a
sign to Barwinnock Herbs 7miles.
From the East i.e from Carlisle and
Dumfries, take the A75 to Newton Stewart.
At the Newton Stewart roundabout, continue on the A75 to the top
of the hill and turn right towards Girvan. After about a mile
there is a T junction, turn left towards Givan. Take the next
turning on the left onto the B7027 where Barwinnock herbs is signposted
12 miles.
From the west i.e.Stranraer, take the A75
to Glenluce. Do not take the turning to Barhill but instead go
through the village looking for a sign on the left to the motor
museum. After about 12 miles, you meet the B7027 where Barwinnock
Herbs is signposted to the left.
